Mountains, gorges, waterfalls, rivers… the natural landscape is breathtaking in this often overlooked country. Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival Day
Start your trip with an entertaining dinner

Arrival in Tbilisi, where you will meet the guide and the driver at Tbilisi International airport. Transfer to the hotel and check in. Dinner in a local restaurant with a Georgian traditional folk show. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2: Tbilisi City Tour
A first day jam-packed full of things to see and do

Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards have a walking tour in the old district of the city. Founded by Vakhtang Gorgasali, the Georgian King of Kartli (known as Iberia) and made into a capital in the 6th century, Tbilisi is a significant industrial, social, and cultural center.

Your tour of the city includes following sightseeing spots:

  • Metekhi Church, which was erected on a cliff face, overlooking the Mtkvari River.
  • The famous Sulfur Baths, also located in Old Tbilisi, on the other side of the river.
  • In the same district, we ascend by cableway to the Narikala Fortress. Called the mother fortress of Tbilisi, Narikala is an ancient symbol of city’s defence. It was established in the 4th century, around the period when the city itself was founded.

Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant, after which you will:

  • Visit Meidani square and walk on Shardeni street with its fashionable, cozy cafes and art galleries
  • Passing by the Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica.
  • The tour also takes you to Rustaveli Avenue, where attractions such as the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet theatre, Rustaveli Theatre, different art galleries and cafes will draw your attention and provide a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Dinner in a local restaurant, then transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 3: Tbilisi - Ananuri - Gudauri - Kazbegi
Breathtaking views on the road to Kazbegi

Breakfast in the hotel, after which we will drive to Kazbegi, a mountainous region of the country. On the way, we will pass Ananuri Castle and Jinvali water reservoir of amazing beauty. Here we will stop and see different local handmade crafts (such as thick felt, embroidery, and iconographic painting).

Lunch in local restaurant, followed by a stunning drive from Gudauri along the Tergi River will bring us to Stepantsminda – the main town in the region. Here we will visit the Kazbegi surroundings. From the center, we will climb through the beautiful valleys and woodlands to visit Gergeti Trinity Church, located at 7,119ft. You may observe one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt. Kazbegi (16,500ft).

Day 4: Kazbegi – Dariali Gorge - Gveleti Waterfall - Tbilisi
Put on your hiking boots!

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, first we will trek to Dariali gorge. Enjoying the beauty of the natural surroundings, we will take time to relax and have a little rest, and also have picnic on the way.

Afterwards, trek to Gveleti Waterfall and descend back down. From there we will drive back to Tbilisi where dinner will be taken in a local restaurant. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 5: Tbilisi – Gori- Uplistsikhe – Tbilisi
Visit the birthplace of Joseph Stalin

Breakfast at the hotel.

First drive to Gori, a city which was founded by one of the greatest kings of Georgia, David the Builder (1089 –1125). In Gori we will visit the Joseph Stalin Museum, which is located here because this is where the Soviet revolutionary was born.

Lunch in a local restaurant, after which we will drive to the hike in Uplistsikhe, known as "the lord's fortress”. It is an ancient rock-hewn town in eastern Georgia, built on a high rocky left bank of Mtkvari River. It contains various structures dating from the 2nd ML BC to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock carving traditions. Finally drive to Tbilisi, where dinner will be served in a local restaurant. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 6: Tbilisi – David Gareji – Sighnaghi- Tbilisi

Today we will drive to the Kakheti region to the east part of Georgia, which is the cradle of Georgian wine. First we will visit David Gareji (a cave city) which is one of the most important landmarks of Georgia. This site is characterized by a unique combination of historic architecture, prehistoric archaeological sites, rich paleontological fields and important bio-geographical features. The dozens of cave monasteries decorated with unique frescoes are some of the best examples of the harmonious interaction between man-made structures and the dramatic landscape.

Then we drive to visit Sighnaghi, known as the “city of love”. Visit the wine cellar “Pheasant's’ Tears” where we will have wine tasting and master classes of preparing Georgian traditional dish called “Khinkali” and have lunch.

After that, an excursion into the city Sighnaghi, that stands on the ruined fortress (1.5 miles length of the walls), with towers and entrances of the XVIII century, which is still preserved to this day. Climbing on any of these towers, you can observe stunning beauty of Alazani Valley. Drive back to Tbilisi.

Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 7: Tbilisi - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting guide at the hotel reception. Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport. Departure.
